These are more pieces done in different mediums in preparation for the Georgia O'Keeffe project. The first piece on the left is of an apple done in water color, underneath is a chart of the different styles of water coloring including, gradient, transparent layers, wet on wet, resist, salt,saran, and dry brush. By learning the different techniques of water color I have developed a deeper understanding of how to control the amount of pigment on a page as well as control of a water color brush. The first picture on the right is of an apple done in color pencils, below is four different apples done in warm,cool,monochromatic,and complementary colors. I really loved working with the color pencils by learning how to properly use them and add value by color i have grown really interested in the use of color pencils which is translated into my final Georgia O'Keeffe piece.
